As a young dwarf, Baergon felt a constant call to battle raging in his veins, as well as an overwhelming desire to see justice done and protect the weak. This led to no small amount of angst, as he would challenge any injustice he perceived, whether from bullies or those in positions of authority. He refused to back down, even though he was smaller and weaker than his breathren that seemed destined to be warriors.
This continued until his early teens, when he received a vision from Clangeddin, an exarch of Moradin who held the portfolio of righteous battle. In this vision, Clangeddin praised his drive to fight for justice and told him that great power flowed in his veins, he need only untap it. He awoke with the power to literally rain fire on the unjust, which has only grown.
Since coming of age, Baeron has ventured out in the world, seeking to rain retribution on the evil and unjust. His experience has reinforced his righteous vision, if somewhat tempered by experience that not all things can be taken at face value. However, once evil and injustice is revealed, he stands ready to throw the fires of heaven.
He has heard of Balazar’s adventuring company and their just reputation, so he has recently joined them. He doesn’t readily admit it, but if pressed, he will hint that he was vectored towards that choice by a vision from Clangeddin. Given the fact that was only the second vision he has ever received from his god, he wonders the importance of it…
